Course Introduction
Improper storage of hazardous chemicals - both products and wastes-incompatible inspection of containment materials, using dangerous products when non-hazardous products are available, and inadequate staff training are some of the leading causes of environmental contamination.
Contamination can come in many forms; some instances of contamination are radioactive, molds, odor, construction, vibration, ground and surface water, land, air, food, noise etc. and invariably, if these contaminants are not appropriately dealt with, this will result in pollution and certain situations serious health problems.
This 5 – day Hazardous Waste Management and Pollution Prevention training course will give details on the various types of contaminants and the new frontiers in eliminating or minimising these contaminants, the use of effective non-hazardous products in your company, likewise environmentally acceptable methods of disposal for both hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. The delegates will be exposed to real-life videos and classroom audit exercises to enhance learning. The industry's economic side of minimising or preventing pollution and the associated tangible rewards will be emphasised throughout the training course.
