Course Introduction
The Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Process: From Wells to Storage Creating LNG training course is designed to inform the delegates about how the NGL process works on an LNG plant. It will give a brief overview of each stage, including "What happens at the offshore wells, how we use pigging of the pipelines from offshore to onshore, how the gas is received, what happens at the Onshore Receiving Facility(ORF)", the process equipment used at this stage through to Amine process then to dehydration, before entering Fractionation to create lucrative Hydrocarbon gases/liquids from the Natural Gas, what happens in the fractionation stage, what the gases produced are used for example propane used as the refrigerant in the refrigeration stage. As it's only a brief introduction to this process, the course will still be intensely focusing on the four variables and how they change in each stage.
The delegates who attend will have a clear insight and understanding of the process which will enhance their knowledge and ability to work on an LNG Plant.
Objectives
At the end of this training course, the delegates will be able to:
- Recognise the equipment needed for each stage of the NGL Process
- Understand the principles of NGL processing
- Know the methods of NGL Processing
- Identify the different stages of the NGL Process
- Explain how each stage of the process connects
- Understand the refrigeration circle (this will illustrate the temperatures required to create LNG)
- Recognise the equipment needed for each stage of the NGL Process
Training Methodology
This training course draws upon several different and varied inputs to ensure maximum learning. It will comprise a lecture, exercise, workshop work, peer-review exercises, video presentations, case studies and facilitated discussions. We will review several 'live' cases to show how best-practice practitioners are currently building their brands online.
In each case, the delegates will be asked to review the online and social presence of some of the leading exponents and critique them. They can compare their current online branding with that of competitors and critique it all through the lens of engaging with their chosen persona types.
Professional Impact
NGL processing is hazardous as it deals with volatile hydrocarbons with different boiling points (negative & positive). These plants are protected with sophisticated emergency equipment, different sounding alarms and muster points/escape routes that delegates need to know. The delegates must be inducted into the many emergency procedures that marry the NGL process, safety and staying safe are key components to working on an NGL plant.
The delegates will have to:
- Know safety procedures on an NGL Plant
- Recognise the safety equipment used on these plants
- Understand their roles during an emergency and obtain knowledge of the emergency procedures
- Comprehend the continuous training required to work on these plants
- Knowing the by-products of hydrocarbon gas is lucrative
- Understand that complacency on these plants is a disaster waiting to happen
- Create safety, report any irregularities, and act upon deviations to maintain a safe process
Target Audience
This training course is designed for all professionals who work or have ambitions to work on an NGL Plant. This could include:
- Supervisors
- Technicians
- CRO’s
- Managers
- Admin staff
- Contractors
- Operators
- Apprentices
- New Employees
